What You’ll Learn
• How to teach and evaluate CPR, AED, and choking-relief skills to healthcare provider students

• How to conduct and score BLS skills testing and written exams

Prerequisites
• Current, unexpired BLS Provider certification (card must be valid through the course date)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Recommended: prior experience working in a healthcare setting
Course Format & Length
This is a blended-learning course combining self-paced online instructor essentials modules with an in-person instructor skills session, where candidates demonstrate teaching technique and complete required skills evaluations under monitor supervision.
What You’ll Earn
Upon successful completion, candidates receive an Instructor certification, valid for two years, authorizing them to teach and certify students in BLS Provider courses. Renewal and monitoring requirements apply per guidelines.
