BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS COURSE

Program Objective:

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens is a course specifically designed for workers who may have a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens. The course teaches essential safety protocols and techniques to protect both employees and others from exposure to blood or materials containing blood.

Participants will learn:

  • How to recognize bloodborne pathogens and understand the risks associated with exposure.
  • Proper procedures for preventing exposure, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safe practices for handling and disposing of potentially contaminated materials.
  • Steps to take in case of exposure to blood or other infectious materials.

This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction, making it suitable for a wide range of professionals in healthcare, emergency response, and other fields where bloodborne pathogens pose a risk.
